Self-love is to cultivate a garden
She plants the seed
Waters her and the earth around
Gives her space to grow
Creates light to let her flourish
Whispers fostering words of love
Sometimes we need to go back for her
Like we need to go back to the garden.

Like trees
We don’t move
We are grounded now
We are at home
Still
It’s so silent now
Streets, parks, playgrounds
Even the houses
We are still
Holding our breaths
Holding the world.

Life slowly awakens in the little streets
Where the days leave her shadows behind
The wooden doors in the village are welcoming
No longer shut to keep the unknown outside
She buys herself flowers and drinks coffee
Enjoys the morning sunshine on her tired skin
She almost lost herself within these cold walls
There wasn’t any chance to escape to the horizon
To the mountains that were calling her
Trying to safe her from the sadness burning in her chest
Her freedom makes her listen again
She rises to the wilderness
Where she had found herself long before
